It feels like a month.
Before last Thursday I would eat fast food for lunch during the week, usually, and I’d always get soda. I haven’t had either in a week. Not saying that I miss the food but I miss the convenience. In the morning I have to get up a little earlier to make sure everything is ready to go. If you know me then you know that waking up earlier than 6am is so hard for me. But I’ve popped out of bed (most days popping, a few were dragging) at 5:30. I bet my dog (Chester) appreciates this change some since he gets to run around the backyard a little longer.
I’m sure some of you might say, just prepare it all the night before. I do on the things I can, like leftovers from dinner, packing silverware, setting out my lunch tote and letting frozen strawberries thaw in the fridge overnight. But cutting up any fruit or veggie that might dry out or brown funny will result with me not eating them. I know, I’m picky. Hence my morning torture of getting up so soon. Maybe one day I’ll be able to get over it and reclaim that half hour in my morning for more sleep. We’ll see.
I have a lot to share and a lot to work through as I try to make this lifestyle stick.
